I played with Eddie (Son) in Rochester NY many years ago when I was learning the music. I used to bring him groceries and try to get on the good side of his wife. I've never seen anybody attack the guitar like he did.

If you read the allan lomax interview, The Great Son House was born in 1882 but had to lie about it to get his railroad job. He played on into his nineties! An old man by`65 god bless him

Son House has been a source of inspiration for me since I first heard Empire State Express at the age of 15. I searched for his music after learining he was an influence of Robert Johnson. Long live his memory.
